There are two bottles of wine, one have empty and one unopened, in our stairway. We live on the top floor of a three storey building, two apartments on each floor. The bottles are on the stairway right between our floor and the one below. The bottles have been there for three weeks now. The cleaners are not removing them. Would it be unreasonable for me to throw them away?
I know for a fact they don't belong to the neighbourhood next to me (we mentioned them in passing). There is a woman with a drinking problem one floor down and I'm pretty sure they are her's.
I don't want to confront her about the bottles because she seems quite nice when sober and very sad when drunk. She has had periods when she seems to be doing really well and then is back to drinking. I don't want to confront her with the bottles if she might be trying to get sober.
Even though the bottles are not mine, after three weeks it should be okay for me to just throw them away right? I'm sick of seeing them everyday and my child keeps asking why they are there.
