To not be able to come up with a good reason for why someone would shit on the floor of a public toilet.

Probably not BU to be fair.

During an outpatients visit today to a large city hospital I went to use the facilities only to be greeted by a large steaming pile of shit on the floor next to the toilet.

Obviously backed out disgusted and reported it to the nearest staff member. Have spent most of the day trying to bleach my brain (unsuccessfully) but every so often the rational side of me has tried to come up with a reasonable argument for why someone might do this. This has also been unsuccessful.

Even if there does turn out to be a good reason, why wouldn’t you report it? The staff member was horrified and scuttled off so I think I was the first to raise it.

Common with dementia patients. No need to be shocked. They often are not aware of what they're doing when toileting.

Maybe, but it is seen outside of hospital environment too.
I used to clean offices, and a floor shitter, or even a poo smearer, was not uncommon at all. Or people who wet tissue and throw it at the walls and ceiling too.

It is disgusting and it should not be tolerated.

Especially as this was at a hospital- severe bowel issues; acute mental illness; dementia; drug addiction. Not a pleasant siuation to have to deal with, I realize!

We had a floor shitter in the men’s toilets in my old workplace, who also stuck wet loo roll to the walls.

It was never proven who it was, but there was one quite obvious suspect.

But now, hearing about all these poopy posh old ladies, I wonder if we had it all wrong, and it was the glamorous Sales Director (also known to be a swinger) - while poor old Smelly Martin from Compliance went through life presumed guilty of shit-smearing.

This was no child size poo!

Very little difference in size between a 9 or 10 year olds poo and an adults.

Cripes, there seems to be a lot of people who have had the displeasure to know of floor ploppers and wall smearers. There are some jaw-droppingly strange people about. I once had a short-term boyfriend who did care work for adults. He told me about one of the men in his care saying that “his poo is this big” and he demonstrated the size of it with his hands.

Some people are obsessed with poo. 😆

Dirty protest refers to the protest by republican prisoners in NI when the British government revoked special status. It started with a blanket protest where they refused to wear prison issue clothes so we’re just wrapped in blankets and escalated to the dirty protest when they refused to leave their cells to shower or empty slop buckets as they were being assaulted by prison officers when they did. Prison wouldn’t empty the buckets and when the prisoners tried to put it out under the door or through your spy holes, it was swept back in so they ended up smearing it on the walls as they had nowhere else to put it.

The protests eventually escalated to the hunger strikes in 1981.
