Im 39 and I just feel really in control and no fucks given 😂
Spent my entire 20s and early 30s being a soft, freewheeling, happy go lucky people pleaser who actually suffered from other people's delays and incompetence and now...
...its like I still treat people kindly but im way more insistent and dogged, in some ways its like im more free spirited than in my 20s because as long as I dont hurt people, I dont give a fuck what they think.

Is this...a "thing"?

Same with my body...I can't believe how meticulous and paranoid i was about the smallest little thing in my 20s.
Now im like....yeah my tummy is a little softer than I'd ideally like and I'd quite like better hair, but i think im hot

It's an intoxicating drug, this power we gain. Imagine if we had it in our teens and twenties?! We would long have been unstoppable.

Shit friends fall away. Shit sex , nah never again. Putting up with crap- assertively, no. Our time is now.

The clarity and the peace tempered with righteous indignation at the bullshit of the world is a WONDERFUL experience.

And they still try to make us feel vulnerable about it, like "uh oh...you know the menopause is coming up and could be really bad for you, right?"

Yeah, I am 47 recently on HRT, sleep like a baby again at night and slay at work by day. Love it!
