AIBU to reapply for a job using my own email address?

I left a job I liked. They are advertising again. I want to apply again. I originally applied using my partners email address. It led to them calling me by their name. Can I reapply with my own email address?

Of course you can. Presumably your application or cover letter will note you've worked there previously.

Why did you leave the job if you liked it?

Just apply in your own name, whatever that is?

Surely if you left on good terms and did a good job they'd want you back.

If you were shit then they won't offer at interview if you got that far with alternative names/emails

At some point OP they will realise it’s you, so I’m not exactly sure what you’d be gaining?

What? Why don’t you just ring your manager, say you made a mistake, that you have seen they are advertising and ask for your old job back.

Yes, I did, but in the emails they still called me their name, until I corrected them, lol

If your former manager has influence over the hiring process I’d bypass the email altogether and just contact your manager to ask for your job back.

If it’s the kind of place with a centralised recruitment centre that don’t know you, they won’t care what email address you use.

You'll end up applying, telling them you used to work for them and the reason why you left, and they'll either have you back or they won't.

Yeah it’s probably all centralised if it’s a large supermarket chain. Your former manager probably doesn’t have much influence and they’re unlikely to recognise your name. But if you make sure you mention your previous experience and put your former manager as a reference (as long as they liked you!) then it’s likely to work in your favour.
