Help! Hyphenated surname when booking airline tickets??

Hi, both of my DC have the same hyphenated surname, I’ve just booked flight tickets for us with Qatar airways and I left a space instead of the hyphen as they wouldn’t allow special characters.

Now I’m panicking about whether I’ve made a mistake as I’m reading online that I should have merged the names together without a space? Really don’t want to have to pay to change the names!

Has anyone experienced this with Qatar Airways or with any other airline? Thank you so much.

not quite the same but I put the hyphen in on booking and then realised the boarding pass didn't have one and so I panicked until I googled and realised they automatically do this as they don't recognise the hyphen.

I wouldn't worry too much as long as the spelling is correct

Quick update - called TravelUp and they said it will be fine to travel with a space instead of hyphen, so relieved!
