For the past six years a woman in my son’s class has given me such bad anxiety with the way she behaves and tries to manipulate everything in her/her son’s favour, mostly to the detriment of others. She’s nasty, she blows hot and cold. One minute when she wants something or information she will message, the rest of the time you don’t exist to her. I learned after the first couple of years she was toxic to quite a few people. The good news is as of next week our children will go to different schools and apart from our respective children sharing the same club we won’t ever need to communicate again.

i want to block her from my phone and delete her number just so there is no chance of her popping up on my phone again. But, is that particularly childish? She’s made me feel at times like I was cracking up with her behaviour so instead of archiving I feel it’s better to block but don’t want to be immature about it.

what would you do in the same circumstance? Thank you.

Block. 100%.

Then enjoy the joy in never having to see or hear from her again

Minasama · 18/07/2026 21:57

Block. And you need never worry about her again.

Just block her and forget about it. Who gives a shit what she thinks, she isn't your friend, she's barely an acquaintance.

Loz456 · 18/07/2026 21:58

I would block, protect your own peace. Out of sight, out of mind.
you don’t need to explain yourself to her or anyone.

I blocked someone under similar circs.

Block her. I wonder what these people do when their children go to secondary and they don’t have control over their children the same.

Block. Give yourself some peace.

Block. Wouldn't give a second thought. All the best.

why are you questioning to block her? whats holding you back from just doing it? Have you always been more concerned of what others thought in front of what was best for you.

Your aim is to protect your own peace, why do you care about blocking her? what will people think? who cares? what if someone finds out? who cares? what if she tries to contact me? winner! I wont have to deal with her. What if anyone says something or questions why i did it? ill tell them its because she is toxic and I dont want that in my life.

Be straight with others, put yourself first. Protect your peace.

Stop people pleasing, stop being concerned about what they think when your peace trumps their thoughts.

Get her blocked. I had same situation with the mum and grandma of a boy in my DD's class in her old school.

Twoheliumballoons · 19/07/2026 12:32

Block! I had the same scenario after primary school and blocked to make it really clear that I was done. She got the message. Unfortunately I have bumped into her a handful of times since (our kids now going to year 10) but that's only because we live in the same part of the city. I couldn't care less. She knows where she stands with me.
