To get a spray tan?

I’m going on holiday at the end of August. My plan had always been to fake tan before because I am very pale, and I’d like a bit of colour to go away with.

I’ve fake tanned last night and it’s such a faff for something that never even looks that good anyway! It hasn’t stuck evenly, I’m not the colour I’d want to be and trying to get my back was an absolute ordeal.

Is it worth getting a spray tan?

Yes if you’re not confident doing it yourself. It’s not expensive

Definitely! I’ve had a spray tan before special occasions (holidays, wedding etc) for the same reason. It takes no time at all and can look a lot better. Only thing I’d say is do some research, read reviews etc, and as you’re pale (like me) look up which tans are best for fair skin (certain brands are much better than others/ have a different undertone; the place I go also offers a light, medium and dark shade). Similarly you can get some that contain more natural ingredients/ might be less drying, things like that. And you’ll know this but just like with doing at home, make sure you’ve been exfoliating and moisturising.

Look this isn't a popular opinion but I don't think spray/ fake tan ever looks particularly good. I'm really pale myself so get it can be frustrating but no one ever looks like they've got a nice, natural tan. They just look like they have fake tan on.

I’ve used coco and eve and I think it looks fairly natural, it’s just such a pain in the arse to try and do my back!

Yeah that’s why I’m looking at getting it booked in now, so I have a good month to prepare my skin 😂

I faked tanned before I went on holiday last year but it was a total waste of time. The chlorine in the pool just washes it iff so much quicker and I went patchy I ended up having to scrub it all off on day 3.

I’m not going to be swimming much, if at all!
