PEARSON shambles (it seems) AIBU to think SATs errors are a concern and unacceptable? Are we one of only a few families/schools affected?

According to our school, my child's results haven't been marked or counted up accurately. Other pupils apparently have no results at all for some subjects, and therefore even the school's data will be wrong…

Is this just my child/school?; surely the level boundaries being used will be incorrect if the underlying data is inaccurate too? 🤔

Anyone else still not got their SATs scores — or been told there are errors? This is a shambles at the end of the school year. All that work.

dont know about errors but the results in general were delayed, I think over a week or so.

which means staff are only just getting the opportunity to check them now. Also I assume the delay was either marking issues or technical which would also affect marking

I know some people who did SATs marking and said it was such a shambles, they’d never do it again.

It was difficult to do the registration at the start, questions went unanswered and timescales not adhered to. I don’t think marking was the problem, Pearson’s (lack of) organisation was.

Our school has had ours (late) but no errors that we are aware of.

I know people who said the same.

We got our SATS results today. I've been told by the teacher they are appealing one of my daughters results, no idea if I'll ever be told the outcome now she's left the school, I assume not?

Thank you, I have read it is Pearson at fault and not individual markers.

Sadly, no idea when we will be updated about the correct results. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was once an invigilator for SATs - goodness the detail! I wondered then about the cost of administering SATs (money and manpower) against their value and wondered if they would ever be abandoned. Maybe this time!
