AIBU to worry after forgetting my blue badge in a disabled bay?

I I was parked in a disabled bay and forgot to display my blue badge. I was in a shop for less than 10mins and when I came out saw an enforcement officer taking a photo of my car. I shouted “stop, I have a blue badge!” and showed it to him. He said he would cancel it & don’t worry. I didn’t believe him, he said if I get anything in the post to appeal it which made me more sceptical. He showed me his screen that said “cancel this transaction” or words to that effect. He could have just quickly brought that up on the screen though.
How likely is it that I have just got myself an expensive parking ticket?

Traffic enforcement officers are known for being a bit vulture-esque and I’m really worried he just said “oh don’t worry I’ve cancelled it!” to avoid any kind of argument, knowing he has actually logged my details and it will be sent in the post. The fact he said if I get anything I can appeal it makes me think if he had genuinely cancelled the ticket there would be no chance of me receiving anything to
appeal?

Something similar happened to me, I forgot to display my badge, and returned to my car while a traffic warden was standing by my vehicle taking down details, on their hand held device. I showed my BB, and have had no notice since then. I would not worry about it.

I saw a video of a man who'd wait for an ticket man to take photos of his car, pay for parking whilst theyre taking a photo of the sign, so that when they come back to issue the ticket, they cant as he has parking 🤷‍♀️
