Went to DD'S Graduation yesterday it was glorious day. Stunning hall, wonderful speeches, joy in the air on a beautiful campus.
But Aibu to be irritated that two ladies in the row behind were replaying taken videos and subtly face timing and messing in Snapchat the whole fucking way through the service?
They did pay attention when their chap got his PhD -stood up to record (Standing was categorically banned at the start) this amazing achievement and then just carried on on their phones again after those few moments of engagement with the Ceremony.
The two infant/primary age children who were near them, but different family were actually better behaved than these women.
It tainted the whole ceremony to be honest. We were front row, and the Graduands were lining in front of us to reach the stage and a few of them certainly glanced in the direction of these women.
Aibu to think there's only a few situations these days where respect should be should and quiet observance adhered to, and a Graduation ceremony is one of these few??
