DD1 thinks England will get to the final because we'll be in Scotland visiting my family. We were also in Scotland visiting my family when England won the Euros in 2022 so there is a precedent. Clearly I don't care all that much about football since I didn't factor it in while planning our holidays.

I hope you are wrong,but I have a feeling you won't be. I had a dream the night before the England V Norway match that England won 2 -0. I got the score wrong,but they did win! I haven't had a premonition about the England V Argentina game though! I thought it really odd that I was dreaming about a football match because apart from a casual interest when England are playing in the World Cup, I have zero interest in football!

Cor I was thinking the same! Messi often misses penalties but there’s no way they would stop their talisman from stepping up.
I can remember us playing them in 86, and then Beckham getting sent off in 98.
Italia 90 was my favourite - nobody expected us to get that far, and it was glorious.
