I have just been having a drink at an outside bar and a young person (mid 20s) was regaling his friends about how once a week they choose a ‘wild’ asylum application, not on merit, just on pure story. And that is ‘how terrorists get in’. However, the saving grace is that ‘X (town where there was a terrorist bombing in the 90s) is lovely thanks to the IRA’.
Every possibility this individual is a dickhead and knows nothing. Showing off his government job in front of the ladies. But also just terrifying if there is an atom of truth. I didn’t challenge as I was too dumbfounded.
