To bite on ice lollies

If I have an iced lolly, I always bite a piece off then suck it in my mouth. Apparently this, according to my daughter, is weird and no one does that. You’re meant to lick the lolly.

A cautionary tale for the lolly biters out there:

I have been biting icelollies recently and twice experienced really painful 'toothfreeze'. A bit like when you press your hand on a warm radiator after a snowball fight.

Now that I use sensitive toothpaste, I can nibble off little bits but beforehand, it would have been far too cold/sensitive to do that.

If you only lick it, it’ll take ages to finish it. It’ll get boring so I’d do the same as you. You’d bite a magnum, a lolly shaped ice cream.

If it's a chocolate type ice lolly (like Magnum for example) I go in for the bite. If it's a fruity traditional type ice lolly I go in for a very satisfying suck.

Nooo! I never suck a lolly. All the favour will be gone and all you’ll have is a sad lump of plain ice.

I bite ice lollies. With Magnum type lollies I bite all the chocolate off and then eat the ice cream. Not weird at all😅😅
