Any solar garden fountain experts out there?
Help, this is making my brain hurt!
Just got an Aldi solar fountain for garden.
Fixed it all up. Lovely.
The solar panel attaches to the fountain with a cable.
BUT!
The water only comes out of the fountain when I cover up the solar panel to make it dark.
Eh?
When I put the solar panel in the sunshine, it makes the water fountain go OFF!
If I chuck a towel over the solar panel to make it go dark and block the sun getting to it, the water fountain goes ON.
WTF.
Now I know this is how solar garden lights work; they are off all day while the solar panel charges in the sun and then they co.e on at night when the solar panel detects darkness.
But this water fountain is meant to work during the day! That's the point of it!
I can't have a water fountain that only works at night.
Anyone have this fountain?
Or any engineer brained clever people who can advise? (Unlike me, who is just completely confused by this!)
It was released by Aldi yesterday.
Nobody in the shop will have a clue, so it's not worth going back there to ask them.
