AIBU to ask if you or someone you know fundamentally changed

A lot of talk on here about people changing - how fundamentally they don’t, etc.

This got me wondering - has anyone on this forum ever had a Damascene moment? Identified issues they had and changed them, and changed their life, even in a small way?

Has anyone ever had a DH or partner do this? When you’ve raised issues they actually take them on board and genuinely change for good?

Or is it all impossible?

I do have a reason for asking but might be quite outing to specify what it is here.

Without you sharing the reason, it just reads as a "tell me all your stories" generic thread.

Would be helpful if you shared the reason...

I know a couple of people who completely changed for the worse.

I don’t know anyone who has completely changed for the better as an adult. Small changes possibly but I think some things are quite inherent like selfishness and narcissism.

NC quick for this.
But I went from being a rather big drug dealer to a mumsy type. I have a good job as an accountant, moved away, and now my hobbies are reading and traveling with my kids. Very rock & roll. It can be done.
