Andrew wasn't popular in the Navy ( arrogant and boorish so no surprise there! ) but he was always acknowleged to be a very capable helicopter pilot. I remember watching the footage as he flew into a haze of smoke dangerously close to the Atlantic Conveyor and after the ship was struck by an Exocet missile. The ship was ablaze, forcing the crew to abandon ship in freezing South Atlantic waters. Andrew positioned his helicopter to creat enough down draft for the full life rafts to move away from the burning ship as well as winching sailors from the sea.
Andrew had a 22 year career in the Navy and did actually pilot military helicopters and command a warship unlike Harry who failed his pilots exams after three years of trying and flew as a co pilot gunner ( When he wasn't on his Playstation on base...)
No excuses could ever be made for ABW and his horrific involvement with Epstein, however there does seem to be a parallel agenda running here and I still can't understand why he is the only high profile man to be so publicly shamed to the point where people who weren't even alive during the Falklands war are rewriting documented history to suit their own agenda.The man has lost everything and his shame will never be forgotten.
His Navy career can't be changed however and it's probably the only comfort left to him...
