How late is to late to cut the grass during school holidays?

Is 8.30pm too late to cut the grass during school holidays? I'm in NI where the schools have already finished for the summer. I'm thinking of going to cut the grass now (after I got home, tidied up and had dinner) but is it too late? It really needs done.

We did ours at 8:30 tonight, plenty of others were doing the same / making other garden noise
