I've just been recycling and I take addresses off statements etc.
Ds2 has umpteen of these on his cc statement justfor this month. All near £30 mark.
Anyone know why that would be?
He earns his own money but even so that's a lot.
Yes I know i was nosey. One caught my eye then I saw lots!

Generally in-app purchases or subscriptions I would have thought. How old is your son? Presumably over 18 as he's got a credit card. Seems a liitle off to be looking at his credit card statments to me! They might not even be his, and he might have already challenged them with Google or his bank and had them reversed. Or they might be his. But unless you ask him you'll never know, and if you ask him he'll know you've been looking at his credit card bills. So, I think ot depends on the relationship you have with your son :)

We get on well. Yes I shouldn't have looked.

He had a strange email recently from a takeaway he'd ordered from previously. He hadn't ordered off them though.

Anyway I've told him. I'll update on the fallout. Or maybe he'll be grateful not 😉

Then why the actual fuck are you going through his credit card statements and trying to work out what he's spending his money on?

It's none of your bloody business what he spends on Google Play or anything else. If my mum was looking through my bank statements and trying to work out what I'd been spending my own bloody salary on, I'd consider her a controlling weirdo and I'd be putting a hell of a lot of distance between us.

Why are you reviewing his statements like his mum and questioning him on them? Is he in debt? Its not really your business

Told him what? He surely knows what he's been spending his own money on?

You're acting really strangely.

I am strange.

I was worried he'd been hacked. Anyway he's fine said don't worry mum I haven't been hacked.

I apologised for being a nosey cow. All's well.

Being 'strange' doesn't excuse the fact that you go through the private financial statements of a man in his 20s. It really, really doesn't.

Why on earth would you be 'worried he'd been hacked'? Do you think he isn't capable of checking his own bank statements? Why would you think Google Play purchases were a sign of hacking?!
