There is also the implication that you are judged by your man on your tightness- not your personality or intelligence.

There is no implication of that.

Is this where the term mindfuck comes from ?

But that's the product they're selling so of course they will focus on that aspect rather than personality or intelligence. That's advertising, and whether you like it or not, sex sells.

Winefride · 02/07/2026 05:03

YANBU. Sex sells. Sign of the times.

SpidersAreShitheads · 02/07/2026 05:26

Yes, I am utterly disgusted by this advert.

The random placement of capital letters is abhorrent.

If you were referring to the somewhat cheeky tone, I can’t really get worked up about it. Plenty of products are marketed with the suggestion that they will make you alluring to the opposite sex.

HatStickBoots · 02/07/2026 11:09

The only part of this I don’t like is the “your man won’t leave you alone” because I think it’s totally redundant. I’m interested in buying this product because it seems as though it would be very useful for me, the functions of my own body but not for improving me for somebody else’s pleasure.

No where nearly as bad as those diarrhoea adverts!

😲 Who is advertising diarrhoea? Well I'm not buying any!

It's an advert for a thigh master, not for a brain teaser.

Yes, it seems to de-emphasise female pleasure and mutual consent and condone and normalise rape culture or at least sex pest behaviour. Why not just say "this makes you have great sex"? It's also heteronormative as not all women want to have sex with any men.

OTOH, it's so sloppy and amateur I don't think it can be a real ad.

These types of ads are usually affiliate marketing, so a regular person rather than the company would have made it. They get a percentage of any sales made from people clicking through.

Echobelly · 02/07/2026 12:05

I didn't get it until I got to that last bit of the text which was pretty gross and about creating anxiety that you might not be 'tight enough down there' for your man. 🙄

I don't think it's implying that's the only thing women are judged on. It's just that the device they're selling is for pelvic floor exercises, so the advertising is specifically going to focus on pelvic floor related activities.

Either way, yes, it's a rubbish advert but it's supposed to be. It's a social media ad created in five seconds to sell Chinese drop-shipped crap. It's meant to grab immediate attention when people are scrolling, which is what it's done. It's deliberately designed that way.

My friend recently sent me a screenshot of an Instagram ad that was basically a cartoon bum with the words 'SICK OF AN ITCHY ANUS?' across it in massive capital letters. This sort of thing is par for the course for social media ads for drop-shipped tat.

Loubissou · 02/07/2026 12:54

Successful advertising is when people are talking about your product. The advert has worked.

They make me laugh. Where I was at university there was also a Dance and Theatre course. I imagine those students bouncing around in their lycra (it was the 80s) ending up singing about diarrhoea.

  • singing about diarrhoea ✓ check
  • dance moves ✓ check
  • 80s ✓ check
Flamingojune · 02/07/2026 18:43

am i being stupid? because i cant see how it works your pelvic floor just your inner thighs??

Theraininspainishere · 02/07/2026 18:50

@Flamingojune if you’re engaging your core, which you should be while using this, you can incorporate a pelvic floor lift on the squeeze, then release, all as part of one movement. It’s quite effective.

mummabubs · 02/07/2026 18:51

I saw it on Facebook too, the last line gave me hard core ick.

Megifer · 02/07/2026 19:10

Yea its "gosh im so lucky I now have a tighter fanny so my partner wants to have sex with me more"

Grim.

RoseOliviaAu · 02/07/2026 19:55

I’m disgusted that they’ve capitalised random words like glutes. Why? And yeah it’s a bit gross too.

It doesn't look like an proper advert by a legitimate company. Just someone selling cheap Chinese shit from their garage somewhere.
