To think “influencers” like this should be banned?

I keep seeing a woman called “Nicole’s wellness journey” on TikTok. She claims to be on a (you guessed it) “wellness journey” but serves her husband the most horrendous food. She describes him as very hungry - and does things like a “cake sandwich” where she separates a chocolate cake from the supermarket, filled it with cakes and biscuits, and put it back together. She claims that’s normal for him.

AIBU or should this be banned, given the fact we’re in an obesity epidemic?

I think people who consistently promote excessive consumption of unhealthy foods should be at the least restricted

Restricted to who?

Saturnalio · 29/06/2026 18:51

Yh this is definitely Nicole posting, fair play.

NoSourDough2 · 29/06/2026 18:52

I take it you haven’t seen the junk food mukbangs? Now they are much more concerning!

No, she’s deadly serious. Her entire following is built on it.

Just because people follow her it won't mean they are all doing as she does. Maybe they follow for the entertainment or curiosity aspect.

I'm not sure why anyone would be bothered about what she chooses to do unless she was harming anyone else.

You could click not interested and hope it doesn't show up on your feed again.

I think those are awful too.

Definitely not Nicole, lol, I find her genuinely vile.

Restricted to who?

Restricted as in they don’t get promoted to the FYP and can’t make money.

Oh, bless you OP. It’s clearly satire.

Right click

"I dont want to see this"

And you'll stop being shown her videos.

Enidrocks · 29/06/2026 19:04

@takingitdown have you thought about maybe talking to someone in RL?

LaliqueSaltGrinder · 29/06/2026 19:06

Enidrocks · 29/06/2026 18:34

Have you reported her?

Reported her for what? Eating unhealthily? Tiktok and other platforms are not the obesity police. People will watch all sorts of shite and if this account keeps popping up as you're scrolling, it's because you are watching or engaging with it.

There’s loads of rage bait accounts on there. The more you look at them and engage with them the more money those ‘creators’ make

Like the American woman who went viral for showing how to make the perfect cup of tea in the microwave.

It is comedy, there was the single dad of two daughters in the U.S in the earlier days of YouTube who did "stunts" with the daughters as "victims", stuff like him and the older daughter throwing a frog into the younger girl"s bath, "shaving" one of the daughters face (LOL) he obviously just put foam on and kept the plastic blade cover on the Bic razor but there were masses of complaints, even to social services/child protection I believe, but they made a ton of money, bet the daughters are thanking him now?

Well you can restrict it on your FYP so it won't bother you ever again.

All the things to be outraged by online, and you choose a cake sandwich 🤣

It’s amazing that people see something they don’t like and think it should be banned. On a world wide platform 😭

I think double posting should be banned, immediately!

It’s not satire

On its face, it is about as plain and obvious as satire can be. If you are certain it is not, I can only assume you know Nicole personally?

Naunet · 29/06/2026 21:28

I'd rather they'd deal with the violence and criminal damage. A grown man, could, shock horror, get off his arse and make his own food, but I imagine he likes the income.

Boymum2104 · 29/06/2026 21:34

Satire rage bait - you get used to it on TT & some is quite amusing 😂😂
