To be mortified at this

Im still mortified so I thought I would come on here to see if others could make me feel better by sharing their own embarrassing moments.
I was just returning an item of clothing to Next and picking up something else. I gave the women on the till the bag and she takes out the thing im returning and scans it, all good so far. Next thing she goes back into the bag and pulls out an old bra that I instantly recognise as mine!!! The next bag has been sat on my washing pile for a few days and the bra must have been dropped in when I was dumping my washing in the basket!
Its just sat there on the counter for all to see and there was a fairly big queue behind me at this point, I pull it back and say "er thats from another shop" but it was quite clearly old. I bunged it back into the bag and ran off!

My daughter works in retail and has had dirty underpants and a dog poo in the bag with the returns, so I wouldn’t feel too bad about a bra.

Thank you, you've made me feel much better! 🙂

I used to work at La Senza, and I've seen things in returned pants that I can never unsee. A slightly worn bra would have been a welcome reprieve.

When I was a young teacher I was invigilating a mock exam with my Head of Department. She asked me for a pen and I reached into my bag and handed her a tampon in front of about 100 boys.
