AIBU to consider going alone to Harry Styles? - DD sick!

Harry styles tickets Monday 29th. Beside myself with excitement. Train and hotel booked. Daughter (17) has spiked temp of 38.4 this eve.

Aibu to consider going alone???

Shame to waste the other ticket - take a friend?

Of course not. Go and enjoy yourself. I’ve seen loads of Instagram videos of people going alone. X

a) YWNBU to go to a gig on your own

BUT

b) It seems a waste of a ticket, so I think YABU to not just put it out there to your friends / her friends / anyone you know to see if anyone can get the time off to go with you.

Get some paracetamol down DD and let her sleep.

A temperature isn’t an illness. She may feel better tomorrow

Of course still go if your daughter can't, but she may be fine tomorrow!

From what I've seen posted online you won't be alone, there will be someone/a group thete that'll make you feel like you've known each other for years.

Harry was my idea not her idea, she was coming with me not me tagging along...

Her temp was 38.5 last night. She's obviously brewing some virus. Had a bit of a sore throat. She had some more paracetamol at 7.30 and I'm going to see how she is in a bit. We are from up north so getting train down and staying in a hotel so its not easy to just say to someone to take her place at literally hours notice. I'll stick a note on my FB to see if any of my London based friends fancy it if DD doesn't end up coming.

But I am definitely going!!!

Unless she’s thrown up or she feels too unwell then why wouldn’t she just dose herself up and go? There’ll be loads of people on the train and at the concert who currently have a virus. You don’t even know that’s what it is.

Cos shes a wuss and is insufferable when shes ill! Id rather go alone 😜

I saw Harry styles in Amsterdam, there were lone people and no one cared, by their nature the fans are a friendly and enthusiastic crowd, don’t miss out, he’s amazing and you’ll have a great night - if you really would feel better with someone beside you maybe offer it on the Harry update or another fan page on Instagram?

Well we went, DD dosed herself up on paracetamol, put her curlers in, 🤣 got on the train and we had a fabulous time!!!! God he's a phenomenal guy.

But I would have gone on my own!
