Have a look at them, use your eyes and nose ( as we all did before use by dates)

It will be absolutely fine. Touch and smell the items and discard if they seem off.

If they are slimy then bin them. If not, cook them. I dont really go by use by dates on veg as you can tell if they are past their best

If they don’t look or smell rotten they’ll be absolutely fine

I agree with pp, look at it and decide. Years ago we didn’t have expiry dates, we looked and sniffed.

Food legally has to have an expiry date - we can understand it as guarantee date.

After that you have to decide for yourself.

With fresh things no-one knows how long they will be good, so they have a short guarantee, so they are covered.

If veg looks ok then I'd say yes. I never look at dates in veg. Just look at the item

I used to volunteer at a charity that cooked surplus food from shops for meals at a community kitchen. None of the vegetables were date labelled - we just looked at and felt them. Similarly with eggs if we were given them - eggs are often perfectly okay well after their use by dates - you can soon tell a bad egg if you crack it!
