AIBU to worry after being asked to book scan results appointment early?

I had a gallbladder scan yesterday I was told to call my doctor next week to book an appointment for results, today I got a message to book an appointment, I’m scared sh**less should I be?

i would assume if it was urgent, they would contact you? I could be wrong, perhaps they just want to get it booked in so it doesn't get forgotten, perhaps it's slots with a speific doctor? Many scenarios it could be, and I know it is easier said than done, but please try not to worry!😊

My GP only does same day appointments so I must have been told to book because the results are in. I did call incase it was different when you were told to book and she just said to call back tomorrow at 830 and I’d get seen tomorrow

Most likely you’ll have gallstones and want to discuss surgery.

I know I probably have gallstones but the speed of the results and asking me to come in so quickly has made me think they’ve seen something worse.

Really hope it's nothing else. Gallstones can be dangerous so hopefully its just to get thay dealt with ASAP. What time is your appointment?
