Aibu? Redundancies, cut hours & large salary increases for directors..

Just as the title says really.

2 redundancies made this year, my hours cut from full time to part time because ‘the company isn’t doing well and we need to reduce fixed costs’.

Pay rises this month are just over the amount I’m losing in salary for the year.. we are a VERY small team.

I feel betrayed, upset and angry.

How do you know what the pay rises are?

I don’t know what industry you’re in but most need good people at the top to steer businesses through tough times.

Presumably the directors are more valuable to the company than you are OP. Are you looking for another full time role?

I can understand you being upset by the uncertainty but that’s business. The writing is on the wall and I’d put my energy into finding a new role.

I do payroll amongst other things.

All very true, I’m very obviously the low man on the totem pole being the only person working there that isn’t a director.

I think the writing must be on the wall.
