Labour are tonight going to discuss if they will have a contest for leader - Burnham versus a woman (as yet not identified), according to a correspondent at Downing Street.
This is so that it doesn't look like Burnham will just be imposed as PM, to give him an opportunity to talk to the electorate via TV debates and ... so that there's a gender balance!
There is no suggestion that the woman could win and every single leader of the Labour Party in its history has been a man.
AIBU to think, if this happens, that this is just tokenism and actually comes across as quite sexist?
