The thread about it the other day was deleted for breaking talk guidelines but I'm not sure why it broke the guidelines.

I thought this too, that it was someone who had been fired.

Really? Maybe MNHQ were persuaded it wasn’t true by a complainant, and then it turned out that this apparently insane thing … was actually true?

I thought that someone was acting with malice here, too. Maybe someone who had just been told to clear their desk.

Does this have AI about it? I know that many LLMs get factual matters wrong - what about acceptable ‘humour’ in socially acceptable context? It’s not even ‘dark’ funny. Just unpleasant.

So it was genuine then? I saw the other thread and thought it had to be fake.

Still it did the job didn't it? Made national news, has SM all stirred up?

Was fucking despicable of Wowcher though.

Yes, @Crunchymum, it really is despicable. That little boy’s only three. He’s still in hospital, according to the Independent.

I really hope it wasn’t a bid for publicity at any cost.

Lots of people said they received it on the thread and showed screenshots, so by the time MNHQ removed it, it was clear it was real. I was surprised to see this thread still up!
