To refuse to reverse?

Out earlier, on a street with parked cars, I was waiting for traffic in the opposite direction when the driver flashed his lights, at which point I proceeded, and then, so did he.
Of course there's then nowhere for either of us to go so he motioned at me to reverse.
Was I wrong to refuse?

She had right of way dnd he flashed her.
Absolutely meant that he was acknowledging her right of way and she should proceed.
Idiot.

This would have annoyed me after the flash, but I'd probably have reversed as don't want my time taken up / blood pressure raised by things like this

Flashing lights doesn't mean proceed.

Whoever would have found it easier to reverse should have done so. I can't stand people who sit their blocking the road for everyone on a point of principle.

In tgat situation of course it means 'you go'

@ManyShapesOfPasta WTAF was he playing at? Of course you weren't wrong to refuse, but sometimes it's just not worth the aggro & reversing is just the easiest option. Other times im happy to wait them
out if I'm in a hurry.

What does it mean then in that situation?

Nothing. A flash of lights could be interpreted in a number of ways. Therefore, it means absolutely nothing.

If I'm NOT in a hurry obviously.
