I have a disability. My son is disabled too. My son is 16 and just left school. Is there anything I need to do ? I know I need to call child benefit and let them no my son is staying in education. Is there anything else I need to do please? Sounds daft but because I have learning difficulties I get confused too . Thank u

He will need to switch to pip from dla but you might have already done that if he has been 16 for a while.

Hi, does your son have a social worker? If so, have a chat with him or her to see what support and opportunities there are

do you have anyone like a social worker to help you or a trusted friend? then you can be sure that you are getting what you need

Don’t you have to wait for the DWP to contact you, when they want to transfer DC over from DLA to PIP? Parents don’t have to do anything until then?
