AIBU to leave Center Parcs a day early

Staying in the Lakeside apartments at Winfell and it’s so noisy and the pillows are unbearable I’m so grumpy from lack of sleep! Just me and DS and he won’t do any activities. The swimming is great but not sure I can just swim all day again!

If your ds is having a miserable time then leave, if he likes it stay and do an activity with him?

Been loads of times and never had a problem with the pillows.

Take a pal with him next time poor kid.

We love CP but we have gone since the children were small so they know they either do activities together, ones specifically for children or we all do it together like badminton and bike rides. Pickleball was great fun.

Don't make him do something alone, play a sport with him, bowling, badminton, tennis, rock climb, high ropes, hire a boat, the list is honestly endless.

@Sahara123 yes because hotel bedding is usually white my pillowcase is bright coloured so very obvious that it is not the hotel one. Plus I made a pillow carrying bag meaning if it is empty, the pillow is on the bed.

You can bring your car round early to pack up. If your D’s is happy to swim and bike ride I would do that, have a bite to eat and head off late afternoon.

When we went they weren't allowing cars up until departure morning. Maybe they allow it on Sundays as we wanted to leave on a weekday.
They said we had to put our things in one of their vehicles and pack our car in the car park ( which due to our son's disability and specialist equipment, wouldn't have worked).

😂, I think you may be on the wrong thread , but finding hairy soap at Center Parcs would make me leave a day early too .

I have no idea how this has ended up in this thread! Oops! 😅

We recently came back from CP (sherwood), I’ve never been so glad to sleep in my own bed with my own duck down pillows 🤣 The pillows there were so awful. Sleep is precious to me, especially with a 16 month old.

If your ds wants to come home early I dont see why not. You can ask security and they should give you a special pass to park/pack your car up.

He was happy enough to come home. We did have a lovely time just hanging out in the pool and cycling.

It was just hard going at night. Not just pillows, folk shouting outside during the night and then someone playing music and singing on the balcony next door last night about midnight 😡

I think he will still have good memories of us spending that time together but I guess my learning is small doses is probably better for a teen/preteen!
