Bev Turner, GB News. Delusional or just lying?

This week, Bev Turner told GB News viewers that there wasn't rioting in Belfast and denied that homes were burnt.🤯 Despite minutes previously, speaking to her GB News colleague in Belfast who had just reported on the rioting. Showing footage of the riots and footage of a house on fire.🤯🤯🤯

When challenged by Matthew Stadlen she got tetchy and demanded he be cut from the screen, claiming it was "her show".😬

I think she's delusional. She has lost the ability to accept reality and truly believes what she says despite the evidence of her eyes and ears.

DS thinks she's she knows exactly what she's doing and straight up lying.

I would never watch GB news because they don't report facts and have a very skewed view on reality

Many a lie has been told on GB News, so this is par for the course really.

I watch it for the entertainment value. Like those ghost hunter shows, its not real, its not factual, its just entertainment.

However, some people who watch GB News think it is real news reported by proper journalists. So I'm not keen on them putting forward delusional fuckwits and outright liars to present current affairs programmes.

I don't think you can criticise GB News if you're quoting Byline Times though.

TBH I think she probably has gone a bit crackers now, cf Naomi Wolf or Liz Truss. Bring egregiously and stupidly wrong one too many times in public seems to push people over the edge.

There's a strange career trajectory that some shock jocks have taken where they have gone utterly mad - I tend to assume they don't mean what they say but they make more money out of it

I don't watch the show but I chatted to her on X about a couple of subjects and she seems pretty normal. I guess not.

Plenty of other places to witness her detachment from reality. I only used Byline Times because our local news have pay walls. You can witness, for yourself, Bev Turner outright lying/ showing signs of delusion elsewhere on the web.

Are you one of those fact resistant people? You know, the type who actively seek out excuses to not believe real life happenings?

I mean, its not like Byline times is lying here. Bev Turner is. She watched the footage. Her colleague told her what was going on. Moments later she denied it was happening at all.

My question is: Is she doing it because she's lost her mind? Disappeared down a rabbit hole to the point where she will deny the evidence of her own ears and eyes? Or is she a bare faced liar?🤔

I watch gb news to see how many ways they can make every problem a migrant one.
I have watched Bev Turner as she excuses and gushes over Donald Trump,her and that lad they have on at midnight, they treat Trump as if he's the Messiah, they get especially giddy when trump is criticising Starmer. I have no time for starmer but don't want criticism from a bloke who despises everything we stand for.

I think she's lying. If she and her GB News cohosts were ever taken to court, in the way that Fox News and their hosts were over the Dominion voting machines law suit, I'm sure they would all back down and admit that they're lying in the same way that the Fox hosts did.

I agree with you on the strange career trajectory of shock jocks. Some know exactly what lies they're telling, but tell them anyway. Others, like Bev Turner lose the plot altogether and actually believe the lies they're telling, despite evidence and reality.🤯

She's probably got a long-term career plan where she may want to follow the trajectory of those shocked jocks and she may want to leave

My guess is that they probably wouldn't want a loose cannon, but actually thinking about it a bit more, if it generates more traffic for them then maybe they're okay with it.

She wasn't short on information. She spoke to the reporter on the ground about the facts before trying to gaslight viewers that what they had just seen and heard wasn't real. When confronted with the facts she became irate and closed the conversation down.

Lockdown ended years ago, it's no excuse for her lies.

I’m really surprised she’s on GB news . The first time I came across her was on Jeremy Vine and she was a socialist . Strange career path .

I’ve seen this a lot in the cesspits comments sections on various social media sites, usually along the lines of “nah I don’t see anything, don’t think this happened, mate.”
I assume that they’re ‘making a point’ surrounding the remark made by the police officer involved in the Henry Nowak case, but I could be wrong.
