Has anyone seen the reports of a man strangling and punching a seagull to death in St Ives yesterday? It has now gone viral after being on the local Facebook forum. The man is a very nasty individual from posts about his Facebook profile, X/Twitter and posts about Jews where he is advocating barring Jewish people from restaurants, not allowing them to teach, etc.

He is also a father and partner. How do people live with themselves? How do women stay with people like this?

Yes, the common gull is on the red list. Fewer than 50k breeding pairs across the UK. But as you’ve already pointed out, there are some nasty, viscous people around whose minds just won’t be changed.

I havent seen but agree what a monster

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/06/2026 17:03

The women stay because leaving will cost them their lives…

Lararoft · 11/06/2026 17:26

People who can hurt animals easily often find it easy to go on to physically hurt other people too.
This particular man is also a massive racist & therefore a complete knob.
It’s weird to me how a woman could find that attractive; but many women do & are quite similar in their own views & attitudes.
Of course there are always those women who feel trapped in relationships with unpleasant men & feel unable to leave.

The women stay because leaving will cost them their lives…

This is only one reason.

Others will be because 'they love them', 'they're a fantastic father' (🙄) or because they too hold the same anti-Semitic views and hatred.

It's all over social media and it's got into the Daily Mail now.

“They walk among us”. Horrific, vicious psycho. I haven’t seen the video. I’ve seen enough disturbing footage for this week so I’ll avoid it. I hope this evil man faces severe consequences.

Haven't read the article and he sounds like a nasty piece of work but if you've been attacked by a seagull you'll know how scary it is. Don't condone what he did but seagulls can be vicious.

This^

What is wrong with us, we are vile to eachother and animals.

He was a tourist apparently and locals know that the sea gull is protected. His abhorrent behaviour was seen by children absolutely shocking, .

WhenTheDustSettles · 11/06/2026 23:11

And why are his kids not in school? Holidays finished last week didn't they?

There still holidaying here and pre school.

I've been following this as my friend lives in St Ives and I visit every year. The man has been featured in the Jewish News showing examples of his antisemitism. Seagulls one day, what will he attack next? I wouldn't want to be his wife or child if he's in a bad mood.
