Can't Abide "At Home With Katherine Ryan"

American here, but very tuned into British culture and news. i just watched part of the first episode of "At Home With Katherine Ryan." I at least thought I like her, but I found myself, I guess the best description is disgusted. Overall, I felt her "struggles" in the context of clear affluence lacked complete lack of awareness of those who are having real struggles (How will I keep the heating on? How will i pay for groceries and petrol?). AND she wants ANOTHER baby? Are you for real? And she's sharing her woes with some friend whose clearly part of the 1% wealth-wise and has her bleeping taxidermied horse in her lounge? And WTF is up with her husband? Does he actually do anything?

Haven't watched this, but always found her a bit cringe. I don't necessarily disagree with what she says, although I've only ever seen the odd clip, so I don't have the full picture. But the way she says it feels insufferable and honestly gives me second-hand embarrassment.

I’ve not seen it, but I can’t stand that woman. She’s deeply unlikable..

I tend to switch channels when she's on.

I don't know why but I just don't like anything about her.

I love her too, manly because she has the audacity to not give a shit what anyone else thinks of her. And she's actually very genuine and generous.

Saw her stand-up show once and she was very quick and very funny.
The husband is awful however.

I don’t like her, she doesn’t come across well. Having said that when she presented Have I Got News For You last week I did laugh out loud at one of her jokes so there’s a first time for everything!

She’s incredibly insecure and her husband has had all his freedoms cut in return for living in absolute luxury.
I don’t think either of them are happy.
