The Management company tbat owns afe road has let us know tbey afe sending arlund a Parking Warden next week die to the number of complaints about non residents/visitors parking both in spaces snd on grass verges. Its parents from a local school. Its clearly marked (witb the signs saying you can be fined) the school had sent out notices etc.

However.. on Mumsnet and other Social Media, nearly everyone seems to say... just ignore PCNs.
So will getting them actually deter people?
Would getting a PCN stop you parking somewhere (its damaging the grass area, where children play... and most impirtantly, there has been near misses between pedestrians and cars on these areas).

Can someone put some rocks on the edge of the grass verges? That helps around here.
It’s not as easy to ignore a PCN anymore.

Ignoring a PCN won’t usually go well

You can't ignore a PCN since 2015 when the Supreme Court ruled they could be valid.

LostFuse · 05/06/2026 10:51

Ignore the people telling you to ignore PCNs.

There's a lot of bad advice on this site.

Also a lot of bad spelling. Can you edit your post to make it a bit clearer? I can't quite tell whether you're the one parking badly or you're affected by it.
