Went to a lovely local cafe although it is part of a small chain today. They always have a selection of nice wooden toys colouring and books to borrow while there. My 18 month old loves taking one of the toys to use while he waits for his food. Today when we arrived there were no toys so I assumed they had been removed. I then see over by the sofa area a mum and 3 kids have taken all the toys to play with there are quite big wooden toys things like wooden puzzles wooden tea set big wooden stacking tower etc and loads more over more than ten things. I politely went over and asked if her kids weren’t playing with anything could I take it for my son she gave me the most awful look but suggested I could take the abacus if they weren’t using it. I just found it all a bit rude when I take my son or we go with friends we all just take one toy each and if they want something else we take it back and swap it. Cafe was full of children today too just felt they could have taken one at a time. They also weren’t playing with some of the toys as I could see from where I was sitting they where directly in front of me. The mum could also see that my child was getting agitated in the high chair while I asked my husband if he could go grab the toy car from the car.
