AIBU to think it shouldn’t take over 2 and a half hours to deliver takeaway?

We were supposed to be going out to eat this evening but had an issue with the car, so I said we’d just get takeaway instead.

No car (due to issue) so ordered on UberEats to have it delivered.

Ordered at 7pm. ETA is currently saying 9:45 because “the driver has several stops in the way”. It was picked up at 7:30, so will have been sat in his car for 2 hours by the time he gets here.

Did you not contact the restaurant to ask where it was? Or have you just been tracking on uber eats?

Both. It was picked up by the Uber driver at 7:30.

Completely unacceptable

I’ll contact Uber, but I guarantee they won’t care. It’s a shame that most local places don’t deliver themselves now.

There was a "report" on fb about how a lot of of the delivery companies pick up from many different places before starting to drop off the food and how the takeaways were trying to prevent the from doing this.

Ubereats have ironically offered me a free “priority” upgrade in my next delivery 😅

Is it clap cold? I would ask for my money back from uber. Complain, that is absolutely ridiculous.
