Do you mean the accommodation looks dirty?

Motnight · 26/05/2026 17:49

Why would you book grimy accommodation?

Tableforjoan · 26/05/2026 17:51

What’s the Aibu?

Also no never booked private private unless I’ve seen plenty of good reviews and even then I’d like to use a platform like booking.com

Do you mean you've arrived and it's filthy? In which case, complain to the owner. If you've gone through a platform like Booking.Com you can raise an issue.

Contact the owner

Maybe the cleaner didn’t turn up and they don’t know

How did you book it and did you pay with a credit card for protection?

We always book private - i.e. direct with the destination. We pick somewhere from a reputable guide (Good Hotel Guide or similar) and have never had an issue.

If there is an issue, you complain direct to the hotel or whatever.

Have you got a problem or are you worrying that there might be one.
