To have had enough of neighbours dogs.

5:45AM my neighbours dogs where outside on the garden yapping away for a good 5 minutes! After a really rubbish sleep due to the heat for my whole family I didn't expect to be woken up by their dogs!!

Back story. Neighbours own 2 small dog breeds, they have never bothered to train them to not bark and they NEVER take them for a walk, so because of the fact they never get walked the second the back door opens and they smell fresh air it's YAP YAP YAP YAP for extended periods of time, from early hours of the morning through til 10pm gone at night it is literally every time they let them out to use the garden. It's been annoying me for a long time. But feel like we can't say anything because we are new comers to the street. It's constantly waking up my toddler and the noise of the yaps goes straight through me and puts me into sensory overload...

Owner did have a collar on them that emitted a vibration/noise every time they barked and that seemed to work but she's since given up on that 😭

Is there anything I can do? She's nice enough to talk to but i feel awkward mentioning this issue to her especially when my children are not quiet themselves but they typically make noise at more reasonable times and not early hours or late at night.

Just ask her to keep the noise down between 11 and 7. Tell her the dogs woke you up at 5.45 and you hope it’s not going to continue all through summer. My neighbours have barky dogs; they left the back door open 24/7 and I had to tell them they were waking us up at 4:5am with barking, now they don’t let them out till 7am which is much more reasonable.
