We knew that was impossible — only their physical appearance had changed — but we were kind and tolerated them as they were few in number. Unlike transvestites, whom we generally avoided as we understood the sexual perversion driving the behaviour.
Save for the odd transsexual, correct pronouns were always used for these men. They used male single-sex spaces. They only participated in male sports. They were treated as men.
Then came the term #Transgender, an umbrella term. It included everyone from the deviants, the predators, the mentally ill, and those whom we used to call a #GenderBender — people who did not present according to societal norms for their sex, but who never denied their sex.
Suddenly the terms transvestite and transsexual became offensive. #MtF (male-to-female) and #FtM (female-to-male) crept in, suggesting that ‘transitioning’ to the opposite sex was actually possible. From that #Transman (a woman) and #Transwoman (a man) evolved. The theft of sex-based language had begun, and along with it women’s rights began to disappear.
Emboldened, the closeted and the porn-soaked stepped out of their bedrooms into public spaces. Male names were changed to female names. Opposite-sex pronouns, once used only affectionately between gay men, were now demanded.
Nobody could or would define what a woman was. Truth became heresy. A man could self-identify and legally become a woman, changing the sex marker on all his identity documents, even his medical records — fraudulent documents, the ultimate in deception. The media capitulated, to the extent that you often had to read an article multiple times to make sense of it.
The police and judiciary were captured too. Crime statistics were skewed; rapists were placed in women’s prisons; women were punished if they did not refer in court to their male attacker as ‘she’. Insane terms like ‘her penis’ became normalised. Everyone could suddenly identify as one of a hundred genders. Men invaded women’s single-sex spaces and sports. I use the past tense, but all of this is still happening.
An opportunity to monetise this new trend became apparent and, across the world, doctors began sterilising and mutilating vulnerable, confused children. Often these children were victims of homophobic parents, or had parents with Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy (or Transhausen Syndrome by Proxy), desperate for attention, or to remain relevant in the world of celebrity. The medical profession profited greatly, as did Big Pharma, as they had patients for life. Medics who questioned it were destroyed.
Meanwhile, the media championed it. Puberty blockers stopped children’s bodies from maturing, yet nobody examined the connection to paedophilia. The world had lost its fucking mind.
Finally, women had had enough. There is nothing like a woman scorned. There is nothing like an angry mother or grandmother. Brave women started speaking up, and it took real bravery, as one after another they were punished for speaking the truth. Sex is real. Sex is binary. Sex is immutable.
Many courageous women across the world refused to be silenced, despite relentless attacks, cancellations and death threats. But they persisted and, finally… finally, truth is winning. Reality and common sense are being restored.
The media have started to use the term ‘biological male’ or ‘man who identifies as a woman’. However, they are still using incorrect pronouns, which is confusing for many, and they persistently talk about ‘trans people’ as though they are a valid, immutable category of human — akin to a third sex. They are not. They are a subculture, like Goths or other lifestyle groups, and should not be afforded any special privileges or legal status on that basis.
Nevertheless, slowly the smoke is clearing. The law has been clarified: sex means biological sex, not gender. Gender is purely an identity or used as a polite euphemism for biological sex to differentiate it from sexual activity. It’s time we got over our prudery and stopped using gender interchangeably with sex.
However, there are still those who don’t understand that transgenderism is profoundly homophobic; due to the successful but incorrect coupling of LGB to TQ+. They think they’re being kind, inclusive. It is not kind to affirm a delusion. It is not kind to lie, especially to children.
There are still those who mistakenly believe that therapists investigating why someone rejects their sex is the equivalent to conversion therapy. It is not. Those who reject the reality of their sex are usually internally homophobic, autistic, have been abused, or have a comorbidity such as anorexia, bulimia, or self-harm disorder. Underlying problems should always be explored and treated.
There are those in the medical profession who have caused irreversible harm to children, or were complicit in the abuse. Then there are those who cannot back-pedal on the decisions they made for their children, having damaged them for life. To admit they were wrong, or responsible, threatens their sanity.
Lastly, there are the men who simply will not accept being told no. Tell any ‘transwoman’ “no” and the male aggression soon appears.
They will all resist change.
Until the media stop using incorrect sex-based language and revert to man/woman, he/she, in line with someone’s actual sex — irrespective of their appearance — until this lunacy is fumigated from all our institutions, and until, most importantly, there are reparations for the thousands harmed, we must continue to fight. We must hold the line, for women’s rights and for the protection of our children.
The battle has been won, but the war is not over.
