To think Dunelm bedding is shit?

I bought two white waffle bedding sets, after one wash both were bobbled and tatty. Anyone else found this with Dunelm?

I’m sitting under my dunelm duvet cover and it’s fab, had it 5 years or so. How are you washing yours?

ProseccoPie · 19/05/2026 21:57

I think it depends on what you actually buy.. I’ve had two, both 100% cotton, both been brilliant for years

I’ve had the same problem with quite a few brands. They started bobbling, fading or losing their shape after only a few washes. I tried Leruum in the end and it’s held up really well. No bobbling, the colour still looks good and it hasn’t gone out of shape.

I've only got sheets and pillow cases from Dunelm, no duvet covers, and they've been fab. They're 100% cotton, I wonder if it makes a difference if they're a polyester/cotton mix?

I have a 10 year old Dunhelm duvet cover and pillowcases that was great, I did have to get a new fitted sheet .after a few years, but the rest are still holding up.

Mine is all good after 12 years.

I haven’t had my latest ones long enough to know for sure , but the Dorma sheets came with a 10 year guarantee, and the duvet with a 5 year one , so will be taking them back if they bobble . They have come out of the first washes fine though .

SqueakyFromme · 18/06/2026 10:46

I only buy the Dorma from there and its always lovely 100% cotton but I'm careful and wash it according to the label and don't use bio laundry products ad it damages the fibres

bigboykitty · 18/06/2026 11:00

It's the polycotton that bobbles. It's sweaty too.I only buy 100% cotton.
