Ah sorry thought it was well known about Timmy the whale. Confirmed in the last few hours the whale found dead has been confirmed to be him. No big Happy Ever After his dubious release.

Timmy was the unwell whale who was freed in the North Sea after being stranded in the Baltic a few times.

Oh that is so sad. I hadnt heard about this at all.

I remember watching a programme years ago that said whales/dolphins and the like will intentionally beach themselves if they are ill, guess its an easier way to die than be picked apart by sharks.
