Antisemitism Rally Today

To say thank you to all those that attended and/or spoke at the rally against antisemitism in London today, but hope that the relatively small turnout (20,000) was more due to lack of awareness/how quickly it was organised, than people's attitudes towards British Jews?

I would have gone but I've had to come to my mum's for the weekend. I don't think there was much publicity - I only found out about it when I Googled if anything was coming up

Thank you @SmugglersHaunt. I'm hoping that it was mostly just the lqck of publicity etc. There were good speakers from across community and political speakers. And, as always, a strong show of support from the Iranian diaspora.

I'm sadly not in the area so wouldn't have been able to attend, though I keep up with a lot of London news and I have to admit I hadn't heard about it. I'd bet the low numbers are, as you say, at least in part due to lack of awareness/quick organisation, so hopefully for similar future rallies the word will have a chance to spread a little more!

I wouldn’t have been able to attend for a number of reasons. However I also only heard about it yesterday on the news when they were discussing politicians being invited or not.

Just looking now on the board of deputies of British Jews to find the aims of the march and found Recommendations to the Government of the march it looks like the main press release was four days ago so not long especially for anyone outside London.

The final thing in the recommendations is attending the March and celebrating Jewish Culture Month (16 May to 16 June) so I’ll look out for events for that.
