Help! Sensory ideas for DS and feet!

DS has huge sensory issues around shoes, he has to have them feeling as tight as they will possibly go. Every week I’m having to buy a new pair as when he’s worn them a few times he says they then feel too big, regardless of how much we try to tighten them. He is wearing the correct size. I’m at a loss as to what to do as it’s causing such huge meltdowns. Anybody had the same and found anything that helps?

I had the same problem with DD and socks. 2 minutes of foot massage before she put socks on helped for a while . Yes it was time consuming but better than the alternative.

A year or two on and the problem has solved itself

Perhaps put an insole in to make them more fitted to save buying more so often? Sorry I know that's not a solution to the problem itself!

Would wearing another thin pair of socks help?

What about compression sports socks? I wear them to play sport to help with muscle recovery and they feel like tight bandages round my feet - would be easier than buying new shoes all the time.
