Been starving hungry all day so after tea I went rooting in the kitchen cupboard and found a Smarties Easter Egg !!!!! I found myself shamelessly eating half of it but will let the DGD finish it tomorrow.

my AIBU is should I have left it even tho Easter was 47 ish days ago or should I have left it for the DGD even tho they had shed loads and didn’t know it was there ????

You should just finish it off with a mug of tea... enjoy

I think you should finish it tonight and bury the wrappings at the bottom of the bin before DGD arrives tomorrow. And wipe the chocolate from round your mouth.

They don’t even know it was there and Easter was yonks ago — just enjoy it!

These threads make me chuckle, people saying they would eat the whole thing. I couldn’t manage that in one day but I’m not really a choc fan. But overall compared to mumsnet I eat quite little yet I’m hugely overweight.

Oh my days !!! Eldest DGD doesn’t forget a thing…asked about the left over egg after tea last nite so I managed to break into little pieces into 2 bowls and convince her it was a full egg lol. I’m now tucking into toblerone truffles as a victory for not eating the egg. Go me !!!!

Toblerone truffles? I never heard of such a thing. Are they good?
