Why am I seeing loads of huge house spiders all of a sudden when normally like clockwork they only ever appear between early September and end of October, it’s not spider season, WHY are they torturing me 4 months early???

I have frequently noticed a surge in late Spring.

We had a monster in our office the other night. It surprised me. We had had a huge downpour the day before so it might have escaped the rain

Gosh yes, I've 3 had big spiders in the house over the last fortnight.

They’re on their way outside for summer.
When you see them in autumn it’s because they’re coming in out of the cold for winter.

I read recently that they actually live in our houses all the time. In tiny crevices and cracks in the skirting boards. We just see them when they’re courting in autumn.

House spiders live in houses all year. They don’t live out in summer and come in during winter.
You see them in Autumn because they come out to mate.

I am just not used to seeing time at this time of the year, it’s pretty upsetting, I have a phobia just off house spiders not any other kind
