They've discontinued my foundation!!

So that's not my question as I firmly believe Avon were definitely unreasonable in discontinuing the mineral powder foundation I've used for years. It worked with my skin issues (really dry and flaky but really spotty, cystic acne at times, previously on roaccutane). The one they sell now just does not compare!

I was using Rosalique under and then the Avon mineral foundation bit I'm thinking it's time for a total overhaul. I'm in my 40s and me searching had just filled all my reels with Il Makiage, Smooche and Luxe.

I've tried Laura Geller but I'm not impressed with the colours or coverage.

What works for you lovely people out there? As well as being dry I can also get really shiny so something that manages that.

Please help me not look like a scabby, orange oil slick!!

I really like Il Makiage.

I'm using NARs long wear at the minute and like it - I actually mix it with a tiny bit of L'Oréal perfect match to get the right colour. Dry sensitive skin.

I use lily lolo powder foundation. Tried many more over the years and always go right back to them.

I find Boots stay perfect to be just as good as some of the pricier ones but I have dreadful combination skin so nothing works perfectly on it.

I was a die-hard Il Makiage fan (similar skin to yours) but last year I switched to Erborian CC Red Correct because Il Makiage started to sit a bit funny in my pores and seemed to accentuate my spots (they get an annoying little ring of flaky skin round the outside which foundation clings to). The coverage is more natural and my skin gets on much better with it, and it can be built-up and blended easier than a traditional foundation. The only downside is that it doesn’t stay put as long - I can get a full day out of it if I use fixing mist before and after applying, but probably only an afternoon/evening without.
