AIBU to ask if anyone has tried the compression leggings for Lipoedema? If so, do they help? Any particular brand or just another social media marketing plot?

Yes they do - they help with discomfort and if you get proper graduated compression then it will help to reduce the oedema component .

You need to buy from a medical company ideally and it’s better to include the feet or a compression sock - can be short sock with a legging or tights on top.

Yes I was prescribed a pair from the GP, Activa or something, I need to buy some more

Problem is Im used to wearing cotton or bamboo socks and these are obviously man made fibres but it is what it is and I'll be wearing them all summer!

Made a big difference, dont ask me how as they also dig in under the knee

Thanks both! Will look into proper medical ones.

Yes they do but you’ll need to get your legs measured as it’s important they fit well. Your GP should be able to help

@likelysuspect medí do a cotton compression sock by the way for those with sensitive skin . They are less soft to the touch but pull on more easily .

We had a visit from the rep who was telling me about all sorts of the new innovations. I was impressed with the colours and range too
