London check up

[Scamworried]

Is anyone in London area that could check something for me please.

We have booked an apartment via booking.com

And I have seen a new review which is saying it's a scam so this is worrisome

I just wondered if anyone is near or passing portman street and could check

How would anyone know just by walking past whether it was a scam or not? You could look on Google street view to see if it's a real address? Or message Booking.com to say you've seen a review saying it's a scam and you're concerned, and can they confirm it's a real listing.

I have messaged booking.com and looked on street view - street view looks like images on booking.
I am waiting for booking.com to get back to me

I would also consider looking at the other properties in the road to gauge if it's a likely area to be booked out and check Airbnb for other properties in the area. Plus does the street view pick look identical to the advert...if so that's very strange

I would also check how many other reviews the person saying it's a scam has done...it could be true or malicious.
