To constantly be worrying after pulmonary embolism?

I was diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emboli during pregnancy last year. I have never been overweight, never smoked, drink very rarely etc. Drs have put it all down to pregnancy hormones and I no longer take any medication.

However I’m constantly worrying that they have returned. Every time I get a bit of a cough I worry that this is due to developing PEs and then I start
to notice myself becoming breathless more often, worry that my heart rate is elevated etc. Annoyingly… a lot of the symptoms of PE are similar to that of anxiety! So I’m constantly worrying whether I’m causing these symptoms in myself or whether I’m just dismissing them when I should be taking them more seriously.

I have been to A&E twice since my baby was born with these symptoms (and have had an x ray and blood test) and both times these have came back normal.

Has anybody else had blood clots in pregnancy and experienced this? Has anybody developed further PEs after pregnancy?

No blood clots in pregnancy but after a life changing accident where I broke multiple bones I ended up with multiple PEs. I was told by the hospital when I was discharged that any if I got any chest pains I was to go to a&e..
Frankly I was scared and I went to the out of hours drs probably about 6 times.. usually in the middle of the night after getting breathless.. and working myself into a state.. They were fantastic and never once made me feel like a nuisance. My anxiety eventually lessened. 9 yrs later I hardly think about it..
Are you on medication? I was on apixaban and was told it was very rare to get more PEs but they still gave me tests and reassurance every time..

Yes this is what I’m like. I notice that I’ve been coughing more than usual, and then I start to feel like I have chest pains but wonder whether I’m just imagining it… and then my HR goes up etc.
I’m no longer on any medication.
