When I signed up to run 31 miles in May for Marie Curie 😭 I’m so embarrassed, because it’s given me a £150 goal and I won’t hit that 😭😭😭

Can you maybe go into the fundraising platform and change the goal to something very small, and just pay it yourself (£20 or so?)?

I see people adjust these upwards all the time, so you’d think it would be possible.

if it’s any consolation, I’d not think twice about 2 fundraising things in 2 years. I might not support both, but it wouldn’t really enter my head much

Don’t overthink it. I’m glad when people post for sponsorship as I don’t like signing up for direct debits etc for charity so this is an easy way for me to give.

I'm not surprised. Actually none of us should be on any Meta product (FB, Instagram, Whatsapp) - and I say this as someone who is deep into each of those products, unfortunately - because Meta is definitely pulling and scrapping all of your data (not just your name but everything you do or write) from each (no I don't believe WhatsApp is secure and encrypted like they claim).
If you knew how many times Meta has been sued, across multiple countries, by individuals, organisations, governments and gov't regulators, for privacy and data violations, you would delete them all.
